I trial fitted the replacement pump in a similar place to the old one

and though it looked ok, it just seemed a bit exposed to road dirt etc

so I moved it

into the boot

where it's out of the way. I also fitted a fuse near the pump just in case.

the card divider that separates the boot from the 'cockpit' will be replaced with an aluminium firewall in time in case of fuel spillages.

which will at some point be carpteted.
